Today’s episode is a colorful, expressive journey. When I learned about our guest today, and her openness around addiction, as well as her life as a therapist, I knew I had to invite her to join us. That’s why we’re chatting to this outspoken friend of mine, Vasavi Kumar.

Vasavi is host of the Say it Out Loud podcast, the upcoming author of the  Say It Out Loud book (coming in spring 2023) self-expression coach and actor.

As a first-generation Indian immigrant, Vasavi got her second Masters’ degree in social work. Now, through her Say It out Loud group experience, mentorships and communication trainings, she helps her clients to be more comfortable, confident, and in control during interpersonal communications, media interviews, and life.

Top 5 Things You’ll Learn from This Episode:

  1. why saying things out loud is so important

  2. why does it matter (so much so that she's written a book on it)

  3. some incredibly potent wisdom gems on checking yourself before you hit publish on social media

  4. what it was like seeing the same therapist for 16 years, and what that taught her

  5. her Indian background and upbringing and recently evolved relationship with her parents.
